The Kriya Yoga initiation is a sacred process involving purification, re-awakening of hidden soul qualities, and spiritual instruction. It can only be imparted by an authorized yogacharya serving as a transmitter of spiritual energy on behalf of an authentic lineage of Kriya Yoga masters.

This rare gift of spiritual grace is open to all sincere seekers, regardless of religion, gender, social status, race or creed. The only requirement to receive initiation is an ardent desire to change one's life by committing to regular spiritual practice (sadhana), self-study (svadhyaya), and service (seva) to others, in order to become a truly balanced, joyful, and free individual.
Preparing for initiation
In order to receive the maximum benefits from the process of purification and spiritual infusion, we recommend to abstain from (or at least limit) ingesting exciting and/or mind-altering substances (coffee, alcohol, tobacco, recreational drugs, sugar) or engaging in sexual activity 24 hours prior to the time of initiation. We further suggest spending this period in a reflective and prayerful attitude, as per one's capacity and circumstances.
Participants in the initiation ceremony are requested to bring three symbolic gifts: five fruits (representing the fruits of one's karma);
five flowers (symbolizing the five senses); and a financial donation of
a minimum of $108 (representing the physical body).
Comfortable and modest clothing are required. Bringing a cushion to sit on and a notebook and pen are a very good idea too.
