The words of a realized master is a Scripture in itself, say the Vedas. Below is a sample of quotes from the
lineage of Kriya Yoga masters to ponder, apply, and realize.
The sages and saints, clad with the bark of a tree, their eyes sunk in, their skin shrunk over their bony frame
and their hair matted in locks, are the living idols of God as they move from door to door for alms.
Withdrawing the mind from worldly matters, if one turns it inwards he will rediscover the hidden treasure
inside.
If you control your tongue, all desires will be destroyed.
When one is completely rid of passion, anger and lust, the root of all desires, mind is controlled by the
practice of Kriya; it manifests itself in the divine majesties and ascends to heavenly peace and tranquility.
Those who shun all longings, lust and cravings, become devoid of any attachment, passion, ego or personal
indications and are therefore able to arrive at the stage of ultimate peace.
Strong desire, keeping good company and practice are the three steps for quick spiritual evolution.
To comprehend the subtle spiritual truth, citta (memory) must be free from impurities and imbalances through
the practice of meditation. Only in this way can one enter into the state of realization.
The moon is not reflected clearly in ruffled water but only on its calm surface. True love for God is
manifested through calmness of the mind. Calmness is the living breath of God's immortality within you.
Be introspect. Take stock of yourself and your habits and find out what is standing in your way.
"Only my love for Divine Mother is wanted. How distressed I am when pulled away from Her and from communion
with Her loved ones. I cannot live of the world and would prefer not to live in it. Drinking, smoking, and
worldliness, selfishness in business and otherwise, just kill my soul-it is this environment that causes me
such intense suffering. Will meditate and try to get away from the world. Am with you in spirit... how joyful
it would be to be with you in person. But there are yet many things I must do before my work and business are
in condition for me to leave again. I am looking forward with deepest earnestness to my return home. What a
heavenly blessing that will be. Please do write often... Even short notes or just a word from your heart help
to sustain me to a degree that I know it is hard for you to realize. When one knows the sweetness of Heaven on
earth and is snatched away by worldly environment he suffers the agonies of Hades but my heart will be stout
enough to carry on.
Divine blessings, devotion, and boundless love, Your little boy."
- From a letter to Paramahamsa Yogananda
My only teaching is "Love all".
Breath-control is self control. Breath-mastery is self mastery. Breathlessness stage is deathlessness
stage.
